In order to facilitate private investigation work, to increase professional expertise and to establish unified principles, the private investigation entity of the Budapest Organisation of the Chamber of Bodyguards, Property Protection and Private Detectives has launched a publication series, entitled Methodology Workbooks, covering the field in January 2011. The editing of the Methodology Workbooks is carried out by the group on a continuous basis, with contents elaborated and written by the most qualified professionals involved on a daily basis in their respective field, equipped with sound theoretical know-how as well. The Methodology Workbooks are the continuation of the comprehensive Private Investigators Handbook: from reconnaissance to business intelligence, also written and published under the auspices of the Chamber in spring 2008. The first volume of the Methodology Workbooks – Data Collection Methodology – was published in 2011, with a foreword written by security policy analyst and Secretary-General of the Hungarian Security Protection Association dr. György Szövényi, acting as the series’ legal proof-reader.
